They have very good tutorials to get you going. Check it out and start with a simple split test on one part of your landing page, for example your headline. Add a second headline into Website Optimizer and let it run for a while. It'll take care of everything from there and it will let you know when it has enough information to declare a winner.

Then take the winning headline and test it against yet another headline until you have another winner. Keep doing this until you have the headline that gets you the most possible conversions. And once you have that, test it again.

As you start to get comfortable with it, you can start adding different parts of your landing page to the test. Test different sub-headlines, different images, different places for images, different bullet points, different calls to action, and so on. You can test as many different items as you like. The sky's the limit.

And that's just your landing page. You can also split up your email list into groups and send out different messages to each, testing different email copy and different subject lines. You can also test different price points for your products. You can even test different products altogether.

On a positive note, PBS received thousands of complaints about the dismissal, mostly from parents.

PBS’s own ombudsman, Michael Getler, noted that firing her had “too much of a whiff of after-the-fact loyalty oaths and purity checks on performers who do lots of different things.”

And no sense saying such moral rectitude is limited to a relatively small segment of the American public. Would her bare foot meet with approval in, for instance, a nation in the repressive grip of Muslim fundamentalism? Never!

As a result, they have issued a proclamation: “Cinderella and her ultimately racy story are hereby banished from PBS from this broadcast day forward. Out of consideration for the children who watch our especially infantile programs and their parents, who trust that our content will never assault their own moral sense, we can no longer permit a young woman who allowed herself to be seen in public displaying a bare foot put even one toe on any stage on which PBS might produce a program for children. Therefore, Cinderella is hereby banned from any production funded by PBS. This proclamation is irreversible.”

My, oh, my, what is a tolerant person to do when such appeasements of moral excess reach even as high as the cultural icons who conduct our public broadcasting system?

Shame on them – and a cinder on their otherwise generally praiseworthy record, too.

"Standar keamanan kartu ATM dan kartu kredit saat ini paling aman untuk pakai teknologi chip. Untuk kartu kredit sudah hampir semua bank menyelesaikan migrasi, ke depan akan dipercepat untuk dilanjutkan migrasi ke kartu ATM untuk migrasi menggunakan chip," jelasnya hari ini.

Budi menjelaskan untuk kartu kredit lebih dipriositaskan karena volumenya lebih besar dan upaya untuk memperbaiki sistem itu agak lama. Adapun, untuk kartu debit agak ketinggalan dan karena ada kejadian pencurian itu sehingga proses migrasi akan dipercepat.

"Prosesnya diserahkan kepada kalangan perbankan untuk membahasnya dan melakukan kesepakatan, misalnya BCA telah menyatakan akan secepatnya melakukan migrasi ke chip itu," katanya.

Budi menambahkan untuk menuntaskan pencurian dana nasabah via ATM itu, pihaknya sudah berkoordinasi dengan Mabes POLRI yang telah menerjunkan tim ke lapangan.

Perbankan juga akan diimbau untuk memperketat pengamanan kartu ATM dengan menambah parameter pengamanan menjadi dua lapis bank selain PIN, juga menambah identitas personal nasabah lainnya.

Berdasarkan temuan lapangan, modus pembobolan pengaman dilakukan melalui dua tahap yakni proses skimming/taping berupa tindakan cloning untuk mencuri data di kartu ATM dan pengintipan personal identification number (PIN) melalui kamera yang dipasang di sekitar mesin ATM.

The most basic definition of how solar panels work is that the sun strikes a certain material, it excites electrons and creates a current and voltage that can be used to power devices. Now let's delve a little deeper.

Silicon: Not Just for Computer Chips

First, silicon is taken from the earth. Silicon is one of the earth's most abundant elements. It's found in sand and rocks of all types. You've probably heard of 'Silicon Valley', the hotbed of technology research and investment in California. It is so called because silicon is used in computer chips.

Silicon is a semi-conductor. Think of copper, a conductor, as in copper wires. Now think of rubber, an insulator, such as the coating on a copper wire. Silicon falls somewhere in between and is therefore called a semi-conductor. This property is exploited in computer chips and solar panels to handle tiny reactions that generate electrical currents. An electrical current is basically a "flow". Picture a wire as a tiny pipe and the current as the rate at which the "water" (in this case electricity) flows through the pipe.

Just Add Boron and Phosphorous

But silicon by itself is not enough to create power from the sun. The silicon is grown into a very thin crystal-like wafer using pressure and heat. It is then coated with two different materials: boron and phosphorous. Boron is coated on one side, phosphorous on the other, with a gap in between the two layers. Boron, when combined with silicon, is a positive material, but it wants to be neutral. The only way it can get neutral is to gain an electron, which has a negative charge.

Now enter phosphorous. Phosphorous and silicon is a negatively charged material, meaning it has extra electrons. But it wants to be neutral too! And how can it do that? By getting rid of electrons of course! And how will it get rid of them? That's where the good old sun comes in.

Here Comes The Sun

When sunlight strikes the cell, it gets those electrons all excited. Just think of the electron as a kid in his mom's arms as they approach the park. He just can't wait to get away from mom and onto the swing set. The electrons leave the phosphorous and go toward the positive boron, creating an electrical pressure as they enter the gap. This pressure must be released, and is through the wiring in the cell. This creates the flow, or current, we talked about earlier.

The cells are coated with materials to ensure the sunlight is absorbed and not reflected. The silicon wafers are wired together and encased in tempered glass and aluminum to prevent weather damage. These are called panels, and are then wired together to form an array. And that is the basic building block reaction of a solar panel!

Fears for Australians in quake

A Strong Earthquake Strikes Haiti, The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFAT) is scrambling to find out if any Australian travellers are stranded in Haiti after a devastating earthquake hit the impoverished nation.

Scenes of mass destruction are being reported after the 7.0-magnitude quake levelled buildings and trapped people under rubble in and around the capital Port-au-Prince.

DFAT says it is trying to contact two Australians it believes are in Haiti.

The Australian High Commission in Trinidad and Tobago is also contacting Haitian authorities to find out whether any other Australians are affected.

ABC News Online reader Mike Eastland is worried about friends who he says are in Port-au-Prince.

"We have friends from Brisbane who are currently based in Port-au-Prince doing NGO work," he wrote to the ABC.

"They live on the fourth floor of an apartment building on side of a hill, near where the hospital reportedly collapsed. We have not heard from them; their blog has not been updated either.

"All electricity is down, mobile phone communications are down and therefore internet is down. How would one ever be able to find out if they are OK?

"I guess we'll have to just pray and wait."

The Australian Government says it is ready to supply any assistance the Haitian government may request.
